Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and organized individual to join our team as a Clinical Director. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clinical oversight, supervision, and strategic guidance to ensure high-quality therapeutic services across multiple programs. This role encompasses staff supervision, program development, crisis management, and compliance with industry standards and best practices. The Clinical Director partners with the executive team, department directors, and GMC staff to foster a supportive and forward-thinking culture while helping drive the success of Gateway Mountain Center’s mission.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
Clinical Oversight:
Provide leadership and guidance in maintaining clinical standards across GMC departments.
Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Review and assist with authorizations, service verifications, co-signing mentor notes, goal review, and providing diagnosis forms and co-signatures as needed.
Employee Training and Supervision:
Conduct clinical training programs for GMC employees to enhance their skills and ensure the delivery of effective services.
Provide regular supervision to clinical staff, mentors, and other employees, offering support, feedback, and guidance.
Supervise mentors, ensuring they receive appropriate guidance and support.
Supervise and support clinical supervisors
Crisis Support:
Establish a crisis support system for employees, ensuring timely and effective interventions during challenging situations.
Collaborate with the leadership team/HR to address employee well-being and concerns.
Support Team Creation:
Assist in implementing strategies to enhance the overall work environment and employee satisfaction.
Best Practices and Compliance:
Stay informed about the latest clinical best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with department heads to ensure GMC programs align with established best practices.
Office Presence and Field Work:
Maintain a physical presence in the Wellness Center/office for a minimum of 8-16 hours a week.
Engage in fieldwork as needed to understand program dynamics and address clinical needs.
Attend monthly mentor meetings to address issues and provide guidance.
Attend and participate in training for Sierra Experience and WHMB as needed.
Attend weekly leadership team meetings.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Client Referrals:
Oversee and advise the Case Manager and the Program Director throughout the referral process.
Assess needs and determine funding.
Complete intake or ensure assignment to the case manager for intake.
Assign mentors in collaboration and consultation with the Program Director.
Active Cases:
Write treatment plans in collaboration with mentors and other adults within the client's community of support.
Review and approve session notes.
Oversee case closures and ensure a holistic approach to closure.
Mentor Support:
Ensure mentors receive clinical advising sessions at least twice per month.
Collaborate with mentors to ensure holistic client care.
Provide support to mentors as needed.
Program Support:
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure excellent service.
Contribute to GMC team training, program feedback, and development.
Requirements:
Licensed Clinical Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT or equivalent.
Extensive experience in clinical oversight and program management.
Proven ability to provide effective clinical supervision and training.
Strong crisis intervention skills and experience in creating support systems.
Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Benefits and Wages:
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year
