Nick Fruendt
Therapeutic Mentor
Nick Fruendt has nearly seven years of experience within the mental health field that spans across four different states. He has spent the last four years in Southeast Alaska, working as a substance use counselor, and has led week-long kayaking and backpacking trips in the Alaskan wilderness. Nick has a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Creighton University in Omaha and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in social work at San Francisco State University. He enjoys working at the Whole Hearts, Bodies, and Minds program because it combines his professional interests with his love of the outdoors. He enjoys a day at Ocean Beach, walking Lands End Lookout, playing pickup basketball, and (his newest hobby) vintage baseball. As a mentor and provider his foundation is based on radical acceptance, mindfulness, an open mind, and shared joy. You can always expect some humor, as well as being an active member in collaborative sessions with him.
