Bella Berns

Board Member

Bella Berns is a senior executive and board director with international experience spanning asset management, venture investing, impact investments, international development, and philanthropic giving. She is passionate about driving organizational growth and impact through strategic leadership, team building, and transformative initiatives in both corporate and nonprofit settings.

Bella currently serves as the director of LCV Advisors, where she advises family offices on social investment and philanthropy strategies and implementation.

Previously, she was the director of philanthropy for Credit Suisse in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). In this role, she launched the bank’s global philanthropy services for private banking clients and restructured corporate philanthropy and employee engagement programs across the region. 

Earlier in her career, she helped implement international educational initiatives in Asia and Africa through Room to Read, for which she was one of the first handful of employees and, upon departure, an advisory board member. Her financial acumen and experience gained in asset management at Crosslink Capital is woven through all of her endeavors.

Bella and her family are fortunate to have made Tahoe their homebase for adventures. They spend as much time as possible on the surrounding trails, slopes, and in the alpine lakes. She is honored to join Gateway’s expansion efforts in helping young people maintain and improve their mental health through nature-based therapy.
